Parameters

These parameters are the standards upon which the strategic plan was developed. They provide the framework upon which our strategies, goals, and annual plans will be built. Variances may need to exist as we move forward to implement the Plan. We will assume the responsibility of communicating any variance to the community and explain the necessity for doing so. Our goal is to meet or exceed all of the parameters.

• We will always maintain safe, secure environments conducive to learning.
• Student performance on standardized assessments will always be among the best of comparable districts.
• We will periodically and systematically review all curriculum areas for relevance and rigor.
• We will not tolerate behavior that demeans the self-worth or dignity of any individual or group.
• We will not allow budgeted fund balances to fall below 10% of operating expenses.
• Operating expenses will not exceed budgeted operating revenues.
• No new program or service will be accepted unless it is consistent with the strategic plan, provisions are made for staff development and program evaluation, and benefits clearly exceed cost.
• No existing program or service will be retained unless it continues to make an optimal contribution to achieving the mission, and benefits continue to justify cost.
• We will operate one 4-year academic campus; we will not revisit the previous decision made by the Board to demolish the west campus building when financially feasible.
