Vases Featured at Annual Tea
February 2009 HIGHLIGHTS

The Lake Bluff/Lake Forest Associates of the Art Institute held their annual tea on January 21, 2009 at the Knollwood Country Club in Lake Bluff. This fund-raising event featured a guest speaker from the Museum of the Art Institute of Chicago followed by a beautiful luncheon. Vases painted by students from Lake Forest High School and North Chicago High School were the centerpieces at the luncheon. This event provides scholarships to students at both schools for summer classes at the Art Institute. Last years scholarships went to Elizabeth Paddock and Leah Tedesco.

Students who painted vases were (from left to right): Hannah Gibbons, Emily McGarigle, Grace Chandler, Diane Wang, Maria Theodore and Emmy Neal.

Artwork to be Displayed                                       February 2008 HIGHLIGHTS

Six Lake Forest High School Art Club members painted vases that are to be centerpieces for the Lake Forest & Lake Bluff Associates of the Art Institute annual fund-raiser tea that will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the Knollwood Club in Lake Forest. Each artist chose a well-know painter to research. They modeled their designs after one of their famous paintings. The annual luncheon features a guest speaker followed by a luncheon where the vases filled with flowers will decorate the tables. Funds raised allow for scholarships to summer classes at the Art Institute for student artists from North Chicago and Lake Forest High Schools.
