Skip Weise from the Deerpath Art League visited Deb Zare’s Art Studio class to demonstrate the use of pastels in landscape drawing. Skip has been a member of the Lake Forest group for over twenty years and teaches drawing and painting classes at Gorton Community center. His work is in many galleries nation wide. Skip’s visit is part of a new program started by league member Vicki Marasco that brings professional artists to the high school classes, giving students the opportunity to see demonstrations, ask questions and establish relationships with local artists.
