LFHS Student Wins Congressional Art Competition, May 2011
Haley Betts, class of 2011, won the 30th Annual Congressional Art Competition for the 10th Congressional District. This is the second year in a row LFHS has won this prestigious award. Elias Ajaga, class of 2010, won last year. Haley’s Graphic Design self portrait, will hang in the Cannon Tunnel in the Capitol complex in Washington, D.C. for one year. In addition she and one family member will be flown by Southwest Airlines to Washington, D.C. for the presentation ceremony on June 22. The winner each year is selected by an independent board of judges.
