Art Students work with Internationally Renowned Painter   February 2008 HIGHLIGHTS

The Art Studio and AP Art Studio class, taught by Debra Zare, were honored to have internationally renowned painter, David Gista, come as a visiting artist during November and December this year. Mr. Gista (www.davidgistart.com) has his work at the Thomas Masters Gallery in Chicago as well as galleries in London, Paris and now in Miami and he also teaches classes at the Art Center in Highland Park. He came to work with the class over 6 sessions, discussing his own work and then instructing students in his method of painting. Finished pieces will be on display in the high school library.
