| Homes of Hope February 2008 HIGHLIGHTS Got it? We’ll take it to Mexico! Twenty four students from Lake Forest will be traveling to Ensenada, Mexico to build a home this year for needy families in conjunction with Youth with a Mission. If you have any of the following items and would like to help please contact señorita Wise (awise@d115.org) or Caroline Kelleher to arrange a drop off time. Thank you! Toiletries & medicine: Antibiotic ointment, band-aids, aspirin (adult and children), ibuprofen (adult and children), rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, soap, lotion with sunscreen, q-tips, and cotton balls. Household supplies: Dish cloths, dish towels, wash cloths, towels, clothesline, clothes pins, dish soap, glass cleaner, laundry soap, plastic cups, plates, bowls, and batteries. Clothing: Socks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, pajamas, tennis shoes, and baseball hats. Children’s toys: Books (in Spanish or picture books), coloring books, paper, crayons, markers, Frisbees, jump ropes, soccer balls, basketballs, footballs, games, or anything else you think a child might enjoy (no stuffed animals please). December 2007HIGHLIGHTS Spanish students from Lake Forest High School will be wrapping books on Dec. 10 and Dec.13 at Barnes & Nobles Booksellers in Vernon Hills (Westfield Mall, Rt. 60) from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Please stop by and have them wrap your books for you. The wrapping is free, but donations will be accepted for Homes of Hope. Come and learn about this home building project that will take place in April 2008 in Ensenada, Mexico.
