Article in a Magazine

Cite by listing the article's author, putting the title of the article in quotations marks, and italicizing the periodical title. Follow with the date and remember to abbreviate the month. Basic format:

Author Last Name, First Name. "Title of Article." Title of Magazine Day Month Year: page #s. Medium of Publication.

Article in a Newspaper

Author Last Name, First Name.  "Title of Article."  Title of Newspaper [City (if city name isn't in newspaper title]  Day Month Year of
           Publication, Edition, Section: page #.  Medium of Publication.
