Band and Orchestra (including Percussion):  Mandatory Uniform Fitting & Pick Up

August 15-17  (9 a.m. - NOON and 1p.m. - 4 p.m.)- DURING BOOK BUY
East Campus—Orchestra Room

Uniform fitting will take place during Book Buy hours in the orchestra room. Boys who need a new tuxedo shirt, bow tie, or cummerbund, may order them at this time. This year we will also provide a hemming service for tuxedo pants and gowns, so please bring your dress shoes to the fitting!

Band students who need to check out school instruments or purchase supplies may also do so during Book Buy hours in the band room.
 
This is a mandatory event for ALL Band and Orchestra students, including incoming Freshmen
.
This event is mandatory regardless of whether or not you are purchasing books via Book Buy.  There are no appointments—its simply first come, first served. Students will be fitted for formal concert tuxedos (boys) or gowns (girls).  Previous years’ band and orchestra students may email ahead to reserve their old uniform if it was a good fit.  All uniforms must be tried on to assure fit and to avoid exchanging them later.  At this time boys will be able to order their tuxedo shirt/bow tie/cummerbund, and band students may be able to purchase band jackets and other required supplies, so please bring a checkbook.  

The uniforms were purchased from a vendor who provides Women and Men Sizes.  We may not have gowns and tuxedos in all sizes.  The women's sizes range from 0 to 20; there are no junior sizes.  If a size is unavailable it may require an order to accommodate incoming freshmen and/or transfer students.  Please note that these "uniforms" are on loan to the students from the Music Department.  While uniforms may require hemming to fit, no alteration that requires the cutting of fabric may be made.  Instructions on the use and care of uniforms and other important information will be posted in the future.
 
New this year:  woven labels identifying these uniforms as the property of the LFHS Music Department and a new inventory system.  Please help preserve these new labels and do not write on them or remove them.
 
A NOTE TO SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR AND SENIOR GIRLS: We will pull your previous year's gowns, with a few exceptions, and we will hold those in reserve for you for Book Buy.  If there was an issue with your gown such as needing a smaller (there is no size available smaller than a 0) or larger please send and email to Karen Levin with the size needed information.
