Students in Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Advanced Percussion, Forester Singers or Balladier Singers are eligible to apply for honors credit. Students selected for this program are expected to lead by example and uphold the highest standards not only musically, but also in their behavior, class participation, attitude, and rehearsal etiquette. Students not meeting these expectations may be dropped from the honors program.

To apply for honors credit, students must successfully complete both a written application and an audition with the music department faculty. For this audition you should prepare 2-5 minutes of IMEA excerpts from Brahms (strings) a solo work (vocal/piano) or IMEA etude (winds/percussion) demonstrating your musical and technical ability. You do not need an accompanist. Written applications should be turned in at the audition. Auditions are held during the second week of classes each year.
