All prospective
student-athletes planning on entering a collegiate institution and
desiring to play NCAA Division I or II intercollegiate athletics
must be verified by the NCAA Clearinghouse.
Students should
register at the end of the junior year (summer before senior year).
If you plan to participate in intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA Division I or II institution or you plan to “walk-on” you must register by visiting the web site at: www.eligibilitycenter.org.
If you would like general information please visit their home page at www.ncaa.org, you should click on “Prospective Student-Athletes” which will link you to the necessary information. As a prospective student-athlete at a Division I or II institution, you have certain responsibilities to attend to before you may participate. Information concerning who needs to register with the Eligibility Center and what documents should be submitted can be found in The Guide for College-Bound Student-Athletes which can be downloaded from their website.
You will need to fill out a “Request for Transcript” card at the end of your Junior year (not before) or the beginning of your Senior year. They will be mailed out to the Eligibility Center in late September or early October.
