Students create 3D prototypes
April 2008 HIGHLIGHTS

Students in CAD Engineering are experiencing the true benefits of creating a
3D prototype of a product. Students are asked to research an object, survey people about the object, make changes demanded by the survey, print the object in 3D and then test its effectiveness of the proposed changes. The class is using a $22,000 3D printing machine mad by ZCorp which was purchased last month. The Lake Forest Foundation made this educational experience a possibility by donating $20,000 towards the purchase of this 3D prototype printing machine.
