The Scouts took a 4-point lead into the third quarter,
but could not keep pace with the Trevians. Noah Karras lead
the team in scoring with 11 points.
Lake Forest (B) 30 - New Trier 33
The Scouts were leading at half but fell short in the end. Jack Garrity
and Mateo Hargitt led the way with 8 points each.

Lake Forest (A) 44 - Zion Benton 55
The Scouts struggled
with turning the ball over and lost the road game. Noah
Karras led the team in scoring with 12 while Mark Turelli added
8. The Scouts are at New Trier
next on 1/31.

Lake Forest (A) 26 - St.
Viator 47
The Scouts fell
to the Lions in this road, non-conference match. Noah Karras
led the team in scoring with 9 points and Tommy Trkla added 7. The
Scouts get back to conference play against Zion Benton next week.
Lake Forest (B) 35 - St. Viator 36
The Scouts came up short again, but turned in a solid
overall team effort. Michael Kneifel came off the bench
to lead the Scouts with 9 points; Mateo Hargitt had 8 of his
own.

Lake Forest (B) 36 - Libertyville 37
The Scouts came up short to suffer their third conference
loss. Jack
Garrity's half-court shot to win it looked good, but didn't
fall. The game was tied at half time and was back and
forth during the second half. Quin Gaughan and Mateo
Hargitt led the way with 12 points each. The Scouts
are now 4-3 in conference and 9-3 overall.

Lake Forest (A) 47 - Mundelein 22
The Scouts used
good defense and a balanced scoring attack to pick up a win at
Mundelein. Sage Lawrence and Mark Turelli
each scored 7 points in the win. Will Bro, Steve Vogrich,
Matt Talbot, and Tyler Durrett added 6 points each.
Lake Forest (B) 67 - Mundelein 27
The Scouts turned in a great team victory. They came out
with great defensive pressure in the third quarter and held the
Mustangs to zero points in the third quarter. Benett Robbins
led the way with 12 points; Mateo Hargitt and Charlie Yale chipped
in 11 each. The Scouts improved to 4-2 in the conference
and 9-2 overall.

Lake Forest (A) 56 - Wauconda 17
The Scouts got back on the
winning track against the Bulldogs. Steve
Vogrich led the team in scoring with 12 points. Sage Lawrence
played a strong game off the bench and added 10 points.
Lake Forest (B) 50 - Wauconda 21
The Scouts applied great defensive pressure to pull off a near
30-point victory. It was a great overall team win. Mateo Hargitt
led the way with 11 points. Michael Christensen and Charlie Asma
both came off the bench to add 8 points each. The
Scouts improve to 8-2 overall.

Lake Forest (A) 38 - Lake Zurich
Noah Karras led
the team in scoring with 9 points as the Scouts fell to the Bears. Jack
Traynor and Steve Vogrich chipped in 7 apiece for the Scouts.
Lake Forests (B) 35 - Lake Zurich 22
The Scouts were able to handle Lake Zurich's press and pull out
the victory to improve to 3-2 in conference and 7-2 overall. Sage Lawrence and Jack Garrity
led the way with 12 points a piece. The Scouts take on Wauconda Tuesday
for a cross-conference match up.

The Scouts were lead in scoring
by Noah Karras with 8 points and Steve Vogrich with 7.
Lake Forest (B) 38 - Stevenson 51
The Scouts fell short to a tough Stevenson
team. The Scouts are
now 1-2 in conference and 6-2 overall. Quin Gaughan led the way with 10
points, while Scott Dent and Sage Lawrence each chipped in 7 of their own.
12/29/11 Nazareth Invite--Holiday Tournament

Lake Forest (A) 57 Nazareth 44
The Scouts got
back on track by defeating the host team to take 3rd place in
the tournament. Noah Karras and Tommy Trkla lead the team
in scoring with 12 points each. Steve Vogrich added 9 points.

Lake Forest (A) 23 - Providence 34
The Scouts struggled to score
and were beaten by Providence. Noah Karras led the team in scoring with
8 points. The Scouts will play for 3rd place in their final game of the
tournament.

Lake Forest (A) 54 - Brother Rice

The
Scouts used a strong second half to pull away from Brother Rice
and start their tournament with a victory. Noah Karras
lead the team in scoring with 19 points. Scott Yandell
added 9 points off the bench.

Lake Forest (A) 38 Warren 39
The Scouts lost in heartbreaking
fashion to the host Blue Devil team. After being up one point
with five seconds to play, the Scouts lost at the buzzer as Warren
put in an offensive rebound. Will
Bro came off the bench to play a strong game as he led the team
in scoring and rebounding with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Jack
Traynor and Tommy Trkla added 8 points each.
Lake Forest (B) 33 - Warren 38
The Scouts suffered their first loss in conference and for the year. They
were leading for the majority of the game, but Warren’s size was too much
for the Scouts in the end. Matthew Talbot lead the way with 13 points;
while Quinn Gaughan and Michael Christensen chipped in 7 points each.

Lake Forest (A) 35 Zion-Benton

The Scouts suffered their first loss of the season
against the Zee-Bees. Noah Karras lead the team in scoring
with 12 points while Steve Vogrich chipped in 7.
Lake Forest (B) 52 - Zion 44
The Scouts continued their undefeated
season with a win over Zion. The Scouts led for most of the game,
but the Zee-Bees were able to bring it within 5 points in the
fourth quarter due to their press. The Scouts were able to regroup
and won in the end due to a balanced attack and a solid overall
defensive effort. Quinn Gaughan led the Scouts with 14 points;
Matthew Talbot had 12; Will Bro had 9; and Bennet Robbins chipped
in 8 for the Scouts.

Lake Forest (A) 57 - Mundelein 29
The Scouts combined strong
defense with their best offensive game to defeat the Mustangs
in their first conference game. Jack
Traynor led the team in scoring with 13 points. Steve
Vogrich added 9 points and Scott Yandell and Mark Turelli each
chipped in 8 for the Scouts.
Lake Forest (B) 52 - Mundelein 27
The Scouts started off the game a little slow, but
turned up the defensive intensity and started being patient
on offense to turn in a great victory. The Scouts had
a well balanced scoring attack, Matthew Talbot had 11 points;
Quinn Gaughan and Jack Garrity each had 10, and Bennet Robbins
chipped in 9. Garrity and Scott Chamberlain
both came off the bench to play their best games of the season,
playing great defense and crashing the boards with a vengeance.

Lake Forest (A) 35 - Carmel

The Scouts rallied
in the fourth quarter to pull out a win against the visiting
Corsairs. Mateo Hargitt hit a 3-point shot
with less than 30 seconds to go to put the Scouts up by one point. After
a defensive stop, the Scouts secured a victory with two made
freethrows for the final margin of victory. Jack Traynor
lead the team in scoring with 12 points.
Lake Forest (B) 55 - Carmel 47
The Scouts held the lead for the entire game, but Carmel
was able to bring it within 3 points in the 3rd quarter. The
Scouts tightened up the defense and executed well on offense to
pull out the win in the end. Matthew Talbot lead the way
with 18 points; while Quinn Gaughan had 14 of his own. Will
Bro turned in a very solid defensive game and grabbed any rebound
that came his way.

Lake Forest (A) 37 - Glenbrook
North 36
The Scout finished
off the opening tournament with a hard-fought victory against
the host team. Steven Vogrich lead the
team in scoring with 10 points. Congratulation
Scouts on the Championship!
Lake Forest (B) 49 - Glenbrook North 29
The Scouts closed out the week with a victory
and a record of 3-0 to win the Wheeling High School Thanksgiving
Tournament. Michael
Christensen took a great charge early for the Scouts that set
the precedent for the rest of the game defensively. Matt
Talbot lead the way with 11 points; Bennet Robbins and Will Bro
each chipped in 8, while Quinn Gaughan came off the bench to
score 6. It was a great tournament and the Scouts got better
each game.

Lake Forest (A) 39 Wheeling

The Scouts won their
second game of the Thanksgiving tournament by defeating a scrappy
Wheeling team. Noah Karras lead
the way with 11 points to pace the Scouts in their win. The
championship game of the tournament will be tomorrow against
Glenbrook North.
Lake Forest (B) 43 - Lane Tech 29
The Scouts came out with the same fire and passion as
the first game. Matt Talbot gave a great effort offensively
to lead the Scouts with 19 points. Jack Garrity came
off the bench to chip in 6 points. Quinn Gaughan and Scott
Chamberlain each took a charge.

Lake Forest (A) 44 Lane Tech 26
The Scouts used a balanced
offensive attack and good defense to open the season with a victory. Steven Vogrich lead
the team in scoring with 8 points. Adam Wolf chipped in
7 and Kyle Hanrahan and Jack Traynor scored 6 each in the win.
Lake Forest (B) 34 - Wheeling 18
The Scouts opened the season with a victory with great defense
and great offensive execution. Matt Talbot and Bennet Robbins
led the team in scoring with 7 points each. Will Bro also chipped
in with 6 in the win.
