Head, Boys' Varsity Lacrosse
Coach Degen has been Head Coach of Lake Forest High School Lacrosse
since 2005. He has coached for over 20 years at every level of high school lacrosse.
He is originally from Garden City, Long Island, a hot bed of lacrosse. Bob played
football in college for IAA Albany State and graduated from Garden City High
School. Bob is also active with the Chicago Machine. He works for Fifth Third
Bank in Lake Forest as a Regional Sales Manager.
Chris Panos
Assistant, Boys' Lacrosse
Coach Panos began coaching in 2007 at Lake Forest. His playing career
Included: Sachem HS (92) Long Island, NY--Perennial Top 50 High School
program in US; Hofstra University 92-96--4-year letter winner nationally
ranked Division 1 program; 11-year veteran of National Lacrosse League;
current player for Chicago Shamrox NLL and for Team USA indoor;
World Indoor Lacrosse Championships two-time Bronze Medal Team USA
indoor team member 2003, 2007; 3-time Mann Cup Champion (Canada)
1999, 2004, 2006 (Victoria Shamrocks, Peterborough Lakers) World
Champion NLL Philadelphia Wings (2001),

Assistant, Boys' Varsity Lacrosse
Coach Morgan has been coaching lacrosse at LFHS since 2006. He brings
the energy and enthusiasm of the Outback as a result of his extensive
lacrosse background in Australia and at New York Tech.
Kevin Benages

Head, Boys' JV Lacrosse
2008 marks Coach Benages first year as Head Boys' JV Lacrosse coach
at LF. Previous coaching experience includes: 4 years coaching basketball;
2 years baseball; 1 year football; 1 year volleyball and 3 years soccer.
Currently Kevin is student teaching Physical Welfare and Adventure
Education. He also teaches athletics for a private contractor.
Jake Terlap
Head, Boys' Freshmen Lacrosse
Coach Terlap played lax at LFHS and club lacrosse at Southern
Illinois University. He has been coaching at LFHS for the past 10
years with varsity and junior varsity. Coach graduated from
LFHS in 91’ where he was a member of a state championship team
and a state runner-up. Currently Coach Terlap is the streets & utilities
superintendent for the Village of Lake Bluff
