The boys Sophomore soccer team was made up of
25 quality student athletes who grew individually as well as the
team over a 8-8-3 record. The 23 Sophomores and two Freshman
started off strong playing very well in the Highland Park Shootout--taking
second based off of a third tiebreaker with quality wins over Carmel
and Highland Park. The busy first two weeks culminated in
a great showing at the New Trier Invitational with a comeback win
against Carmel, a near comeback against New Trier and a PK shootout
win over Warren. The season was marked by difficult away
contests, which tested both the technical and mental approaches
to the game. Home games late in the season showed the true
technical and tactical development of the full squad as the team
gained confidence which translated into fun attacking soccer.
