LFHS 26 - Warren 23
The Scouts improved to 10-11 (4-7 NSC-Lake) on the season with
a 26-23 victory over the Blue Devils of Warren on Tuesday. Warren
got out to a good start taking a 6-2 lead after the first quarter;
however, a big second quarter from the Scouts saw Lake Forest
erase the deficit to take a 14-11 lead into the break behind
four points each from Isabelle Montagne and Kelsey Simet.
In the second half, the Blue Devils reestablished their inside
game and tied the game at 22 early in the fourth. Down the stretch
the Scouts were able to grab the lead by two on a shot from Kelsey
Simet; however, late struggles at the free-throw line kept the
game tight. Eventually, Lake Forest took a three-point lead on
a Gabby Perino free throw and were able to hold on for the victory.
Gabby Perino and Kelsey Simet led the Scouts with 9 points each,
followed by Isabelle Montagne with 8. Kathleen McCoy and Isabelle
Montagne led the team with 7 and 6 rebounds respectively.
01/30/10

Glenbrook South squad on Saturday. Lake Forest did their best
to stay in the game despite the Titans hitting 5 first-half three
pointers, but found themselves down 23-17 at the half. Glenbrook
South¹s shooting was too much in the second half as they
finished the game with 8 three pointers on their way to a 48-26
victory over the Scouts.
Isabelle Montagne led the Scouts with 14 points, followed by
Kelsey Simet with 7, and Gabby Perino with 5.

Forest off to a good start with 4 points in the first quarter
as the Scouts took a 7-4 lead. Lake Forest increased their lead
to five at the break 17-12, behind 6 points from Isabelle Montagne.
The third quarter was a defensive struggle for
both teams, which saw the Zee-Bee¹s cut the Scout lead to
19-16 heading into the final quarter. The Scouts built up a seven-point
lead with just a couple minutes to play, but a four-point play
by the Zee-Bee¹s and failed opportunities at the free-throw
line for Lake Forest saw the lead cut to one in the final 30
seconds. The Scouts came up with a big defensive stop in the
final moments and held on for the victory.
The Scouts had a balanced scoring attack with Gabby Perino and

by nine heading into the fourth. The Scouts tried to overcome
their offensive struggles with full-court pressure defense over

but were only able to cut the lead to four. On the night, it
was the combination of missed inside shots and 9 of 28 free-throw
