Lake Forest & Buffalo Grove Cheerleaders Combine Squads for
a
Routine at the First Home Varsity Football Game 8/24/12
A First for Lake Forest!
For the first time ever the Lake Forest Cheerleaders did a combined half-time routine with the Buffalo Grove Cheerleaders. It was a perfect way to start the season as both teams displayed spirit and camaraderie in putting together an amazing routine full of tumbling, stunting, and dance. Throughout the summer these two teams have attended camps together and made the extra effort to perfect this routine. Click here to view video of that performance.
Cheer for Charity
The Lake Forest cheerleaders give back as they volunteered a "cheer party" that was auctioned off at the St. Mary's Gala. Every year the school holds an auction and gala to raise funds for improvement projects in the upper and lower grade centers. Everyone enjoyed watching the Friday night game versus Buffalo Grove, stunting, and learning sidelines led by the Lake Forest Cheerleaders. Let's go future Scouts!
Blue-Gold Game 2012
Looking Good in Lake Geneva!
The varsity competition team attended ACE cheer skills camp
in Lake Geneva led by experienced instructors who have cheered
at the University of Kentucky, University of Illinois, and
many other well known cheer programs. The girls learned
a variety of stunting skills, sidelines, and dance with other
cheer squads in the area. Lake Forest showed off their
talent, winning the dance off competition!
Varsity members participate in the Kids Uganda Walk
held on July 15th.
For Second Year in a Row, Cheerleaders Placed
First in the
Youth Division at the Lake Bluff Parade.
With
over forty young ladies from JV & Varsity squads,
they performed a crowd-pleasing routine filled with stunts
and dance. Temperatures
reached over 100 degrees, so this was truly an extraordinary
effort. As always, the Scout cheerleaders love bringing
spirit to the community as they walked the parade shouting
sidelines and handing out candy to the little ones.
