10/18/08 - JV-A Tournament Results
Lake Forest 5 - Antioch 0
The team had a great start to the tournament with a 5-0 win against Antioch High School! Goals were made by: Ashley Boyce, Sarah Corollo, Julie Freedman, Ann Marie Nedeau, and Grace Williams.
Lake Forest 1 - Loyola 1
The second game in the tournament threw the Lake Forest team for a bit of a surprise. Loyoa scored early on in the game, but Lake Forest was able to get it back and tied Loyola with a score of 1-1.
Lake Forest 0 - New Trier 1
After Lake Forest won their pool, their next opponent in the tournament was New Trier. The team had a great game, but unfortunately lost to New Trier with a score of 0-1. Despite the loss, the team had a great tournament and a great season. Well done!

Lake Forest JV-A 3 - Deerfield 0
The JV-A team had another victory against Deerfield High School. Goals were made by Annie Jahp, Grace Williams, and Sarah Zavitz, with assists made by Ashley Boyce and Cailee Filkin.

Goals were scored by Kelsey Adams (2) and Katie Rowe (1) assists by Katie Rowe (1).
The JV-B Field Hockey team finished their season with two well-played games. They remained undefeated throughout the season, working extremely hard to maintain their record. Congratulations on a wonderful season!

Lake Forest JV-A 7 - Homewood 0
The Scouts played a great game against Homewood Flossmor! The final score was 7-0 with goals scored by: Ashley Boyce (3), Caile Filkin, Carolyn Huszagh, Ann Marie Nedeau and Cynthia Stamelos!

Lake Forest JV-A 3 - Oak Park River Forest 0
The Scouts had a great 3-0 win against Oak Park on Friday night! The team had excellent passing and dominated most of the game. Goals were scored by: Cailee Filkin, Julie Freedman, and Grace Williams. When the ball did get on the defending side of the field, Lake Forest defense was quick to get it out with excellent play by: Jaimie Preschlack, Kelsey Stoll, Meghan Whalley, and Katie Hershberger. Goalie, Lina Trucco, also had two great saves! Well done Scouts!

Lake Forest JV-B-2 - Oak Park River Forest 1
The girls played a great game on Friday with goals scored by Katie Rowe and Katie Skinner, with an assist by Margot Mayer. Goalie, Danielle Wolf, had 5 saves and a shut-out the second half.

Lake Forest JV-A 0 - New Trier 2
Unfortunately, the Scouts suffered a loss against New Trier 0-2. Despite the loss (and torrential downpours), Julie Freedman and Hannah Nedeau each made 5 shots on goal, Cynthia Stamelos made 4, and Annie Jahp made one close attempt.

Lake Forest JV-B 2 - New Trier 1
After being down 1-0 the entire first half, as well as having to endure the torrential downpours on Tuesday, the girls came through in the second half to win the game.  It was an absolutely incredible game by all and a well-deserved win.  Goals were scored by Laura Beshilas and Margot Mayer, with an assist by Kelsey Adams. Goalie, Danielle Wolf, had more than 10 saves with a shutout the second half.

Despite the loss, the Scouts had 43 shots on goal!

Lake Forest JV-B 3 - Glenbard West 0
Goals were scored by Missy Crowe (2) and Laura Beshilas, with assists from Natalie Durot and Christina Ohanesian. The Scouts dominated the entire game with 22 total shots on goal.

Lake Forest JV-A 2 - Oak Park 1
JVA played an excellent game against Oak Park, winning by one point, with a final score of 2-1!  Hannah Nedeau (Sarah Zavitz assisting) scored within the first minute of the game, and Julie Freedman (Hannah Nedeau assisting) made the second goal that solidified the Scouts' victory.  Defense also played a very strong game with excellent stops made by Meghan Whalley, Elise Terlato, Jamie Preschlack, and Kelsey Stoll!

Kelsey Adams (goal) Katie Rowe (assist). The girls played a great game. Unfortunately, the game was cut short due to darkness.

The Scouts had a great game on Friday. Goals were scored by: Sarah Zavitz (3), Ashley Boyce and Sarah Carrollo!

Lake Forest JV-B 3 - Stevenson 0
Goals scored by Laura Beshilas, Missy Crowe, and Caitlin Hough. The Scouts completely out-played Stevenson.

Lake Forest JV-A 6 - Glenbrook South 0
The JVA Field Hockey team had a great game against Glenbrook South! Excellent passing and recovering led the Scouts to a 6-0 victory.  Goals were scored by: Ashley Boyce (3), Julie Freedman (2) and Annie Jahp.  Assists were made by: Cailee Filkin, Annie Jahp, Cynthia Stamelos and Sarah Zavitz.

Lake Forest JV-B 7 - Glenbrook South 0
Goals were made by Kelsey Adams (2), Missy Crowe (2), Katie Rowe (2) and Katie Skinner. The girls' level of play was incredible--one of their best games thus far!

Goals scored were by: Ashley Boyce, and 3 goals scored by both Cynthia Stamelos and Sarah Zavitz!  Assists were made by Cailee Filkin, Julie Freedman, Annie Jahp, Hannah Nedeau, and Cyntha Stamelos.  Great job by all!

Goals were made by Kelsey Adams, Missy Crowe, Natalie Murawski and Katie Skinner (2). Katie Rowe had 3 assists, and Abby Sirus had one.

Lake Forest JV-A 6 - Antioch 0
The JVA field hockey team had a great game, with excellent passing,  against Antioch High School!  Goals were scored by: Ashley Boyce, Sarah Carollo, Julie Freedman (2), Jaimie Preschlack, and Sarah Zavitz!  These goals were made possible through great assists by: Sarah Corollo, Lauren Yarkony and Sarah Zavitz!  Great job Scouts!

Lake Forest JV-A 5 - Lakes 0
The Scouts had a great win against Lakes High School!  The game was dominated by Lake Forest, with goals made by Ashley Boyce, Julie Freedman, Cyntha Stamelos (2) and Sarah Zavitz!  Defense also made great saves by Katie Hershberger, Jaimie Preschlack, Elise Terlato, and goalie, Lina Trucco.  All of the players showed excellent sportsmanship and awareness on the field!

Despite the loss, it was a great game--the team played very well.

Lake Forest won against New Trier 1-0 in sudden-death overtime.  The winning goal was scored by MIssy Crowe.  A phenomenal effort by all!
