Lake Forest JV-B 3 – Stevenson 0
Lake Forest once again came out on top and Lina Trucco earned
the shut out. The team dominated the entire game and goals
were scored by Jordan Amos (2) and Hannah Mowry. Assists
were credited to Emma Dajani and Amanda McMahon.
10/7/09
Lake Forest JV-B 2 – Latin 0
This game quickly earned the title of the most exciting game
of the season. During regulation, the Scouts were not able
to finish on many opportunities and dominating the majority of
the game. After remaining scoreless in regulation, the
two teams continued to play five minutes of sudden-death overtime. Lake
Forest once again had a few missed opportunities with shots bouncing
off the posts and some defensive saves by Latin. Although
Lake Forest could not finish, they played a great game during
regulation and the first overtime. Following the five minutes
of sudden death, the two teams agreed to go into double overtime
in strokes. Lake Forest was confident they could pull out
the win with Lina Trucco in cage, who proved to win the game
with four great saves during that overtime. Jordan Amos
missed the first stroke and following her would be Hannah Knauer,
who hit the top right post to miss the cage. Finally, Madeline
Eckert broke the tie with a score. After Latin missed their
fourth stroke, Lake Forest would win if they made their fourth
stroke. Caroline Marwede then sealed the win with a low stroke
to the goalie’s left side.
10/6/09
Lake Forest JV-B 0 – New Trier 2
The team suffered their second loss of the season, but fought
hard for the entire game. The team had many more opportunities
in this game than they did in the previous loss to New Trier,
which was a moment to be proud of. Our goalie, Lina Trucco
had another outstanding game, but the quick passing in the circle
by New Trier slipped passed her.
10/1/09
Lake Forest JV-B 5 – Glenbrook South 0
This rescheduled game became the JV-B’s homecoming game
for the weekend. The weather proved to be the worst they
had to deal with all season in the pouring rain, but it was no
obstacle for the team. Lake Forest struggled to score in
the beginning minutes of the game, but quickly fell in to the
groove. The team continued to play some of their best field
hockey of the season. Goals were scored by Hannah Knauer,
Maggie Medzigian, Emma Dajani, Meghan Howe and Jordan Amos with
assists to Nora Riedstra, Caroline Marwede, Meghan Howe and Hannah
Mowry.
9/29/09
Lake Forest JV-B 4 – Lakes 0
After nearly a month passed in the season, the JV-B team played
their best game of the season. Although the game was cut
short due to darkness, the team remained focus and scored early
in order to seal the win. Most importantly, it was apparent
that the girls were having fun on the field and clicking with
each other during their play. Goals were scored by Hannah
Mowry (2), Meghan Howe and Jordan Amos with assists credited
to Nora Riedstra, Caroline Marwede and Jordan Amos.
