The girls golf team traveled to Gurnee to play the in the regional tournament at the Bittersweet GC. All the girls did a great job as this is a very challenging course. Paige Skinner tied for the medalist honors with a score of 82 and Becca Scribner had a score of 97 to advance to the sectional tournament on Monday in Rockford. Congratulations to Paige and Becca--we wish them the best on Monday!

The Junior Varsity girls' golf team participated in a scramble format tournament and came in 2nd place behind Stevenson by only 3 strokes The girls played great, despite the strong winds and cold temperatures.  Emily Bedford and Mary Rose De Young came in 3rd place with a score of 88, followed by Emily Hanson and Lily Johnson (89), and Steffanie Pintas and Katie Rogers (93).  Next up for Lake Forest Varsity is the State Regional Tournament which is Wednesday at Bittersweet in Gurnee. 

9/28/2010

The Varsity girls golf team played in the North Suburban Conference championship on Tuesday at the Deerpath GC. The Scouts finished in 3rd place out of 9 teams. Paige Skinner came in 6th place with a score of 87. Other Scouts finishing in the top 19 and earning medals included: Caroline Dolan (94), Corinne Donahue (95), and Sarah Anderson (96). 

Congratulations goes to the Junior Varsity team who played in the Praire State Invitational on Tuesday at Deerpath GC and finished in first place. Scouts earning medals included: Hannah Neal (101) who came in 5th place, Allie Hubbard (103) with a 7th place finish, Katherine O’Connor (109) with a 10th place finish, Katie Rogers (111) with a 12th place finish, Victoria Dee (113) with a 15th place finish and Emily Bedford (115) with a 19th place finish. Great job Scouts!

Lake Forst 185 - Libertyville 181

The girls golf team lost a tough match to Libertyville on their last dual meet of the season by a score of 185 to 181. The counting scores included Bea Smith (42), Paige Skinner (44), Becca Scribner (49), and Caroline Dolan (50). The girls travel to Deerpath tomorrow for the Conference Championship.

Lake Forest 173 - Warren 170
The Lake Forest Girls played a tough Bittersweet Course in Gurnee and came away with a tough loss against Warren.  Unfortunately, Warren played their best match of the year with a score of 170 to edge the Scouts by 3 strokes as Lake Forest finished with a score of 173.  The counting scores for Lake Forest were Paige Skinner (38), Bea Smith (39), Sarah Anderson  (46) and Becca Scribner (50).

Lake Forest 180 - Vernon Hills 194

The girl’s golf team hosted Vernon Hills for another dual meet and came out of it with a convincing win with a score of 180 verses Vernon Hill’s 194.  Counting scores included Paige Skinner with an impressive score of 39, Bea Smith and Becca Scribner with scores of 46, and Caroline Dolan with a score of 49.

The Girl’s Varsity team traveled to Rockford to play in the 20 team Guilford Invitational.  The Scouts shot a season best with a score of 357 to finish in 6th place.  Paige Skinner once again came in with a strong score of 85.  Strong finishes by Bea Smith (88), Caroline Dolan (91), Becca Scribner (93), and Sarah Anderson (96) also helped the Scouts make the long trip worthwhile. 

9/16/2010
The Girls' Golf team hosted Deerfield on Thursday on what turned out to be a cold day.  After the four scores were tallied Lake Forest edged Deerfield by a score of 179-176.  It was an extremely close match.   Sarah Anderson scored her lowest round of the year (45) to help keep Lake Forest in this match.   Other counting scores included Paige Skinner, Caroline Dolan and Bea Smith.

The girls' golf geam traveled to Countryside GC on Wednesday  and came away with another tough but close loss with a score of 192-187.  Another solid outing from Paige Skinner with a score of 42.  Other counting scores for Lake Forest were Becca Scribner, Caroline Dolan, Corinne Donahue, Sarah Anderson and Allison Hubbard.

The girls' golf team hosted Stevenson on Monday at Lake Bluff GC.  The Scouts received solid scores from Paige Skinner and Becca Scribner although they lost the match by a score of 180-172.  Other counting scores for Lake Forest were Caroline Dolan, Corinne Donahue, Sarah Anderson and Allison Hubbard. 

09/11/10
The girls' golf team participated in the Waukegan Invitational at Bonnie Brook golf course. Fifteen schools participated in the tournament, and Lake Forest finished in the middle of the pack.  Paige Skinner was the leading scorer once again for Lake Forest with a score of 84.  Other counting scores included Bea Smith, Becca Scribner and Caroline Dolan.  

09/08/10
The girls' golf team had another strong outing defeating Fremd with a score of 174.   Pacing the Scouts once again was Paige Skinner with a score of 37--followed by Becca Srcribner with a score of 42, Bea Smith with a 46 and Allison Hubbard with a 49, which was her best competing score of the year.

Lake Forest began its Dual Play season with a loss to the very talented team of New Trier on an extremely windy day.  New Trier won the event with a score of 165 on their home course. 

09/01/10

The girls golf team hosted Lake Zurich and Highland Park on a beautiful day at Lake Bluff GC. Lake Forest had their best performance of the year with a score of 172, which was good enough to defeat Lake Zurich, but Highland Park also tallied one of their best scores of the year with a 161 to win the overall match.  Bea Smith led the team with a score of 39.  Other counting scores included Paige Skinner with a 43, Becca Scribner with a 44, Caroline Dolan with a 46, and Sarah Anderson with a 50.

08/23/10
The girls' golf team turned in their best performance of the season on Monday--coming in fourth out of 12 teams at the Lake County Invitational.  Paige Skinner led the way with a score of 82 and came in fourth in the tournament, followed by Bea Smith with a score of 87 and a 15th-place finish.  Lake Forest also received strong scores from Corinne Donohue, Becca Scribner and Caroline Dolan.

08/19/10
The girls' varsity squad played in the Libertyville Invitational against some very tough competition.  Paige Skinner once again had the low score for the Scouts with an 82, followed by Bea Smith with an 86.  The other counting scores for Lake Forest were Becca Scribner and Caroline Dolan. 

08/17/10
Girls' golf began the season with a 9th place finish out of 17 teams at the Barrington Invitational.  Sophomore Paige Skinner came in 16th with a score of 84.  Junior Bea Smith followed with a score of 89.  The other counting scores for Lake Forest were Becca Scribner and Corinne Donohue.

Playing as individuals at the Buffalo Grove Sectional, Caroline Dolan (89) and Paige Skinner (93) played well but did not advance. Congratulations to the girls and the team on a fine season.

Lake Forest competed in the Warren Regional Wednesday at Bittersweet GC. The Scouts finished 5th out of 12 teams and did not advance. However, Paige Skinner’s 5th place finish with an 84 and Caroline Dolan’s 96 qualified them as individuals. They will play Monday at Buffalo Grove GC in the Sectional. Congratulations to our seniors for all their contributions to the team over their careers, especially our co-captains, Claire “Homecoming Queen” Dillon and Eileen Sanders. We wish them the best.

he Varsity Girls' Golf Team had an impressive second place finish at Tuesday's Conference Championship at Deerpath GC. The Scouts shot a season-best 376 and were led by the third place i July 5, 2011 10:14 AM -->ual medals were Claire Dillon (99), Bea Smith (96), and Eileen Sanders (93). This was the Scouts final tune up before the IHSA Regionals, which begin next Wednesday at Bittersweet GC in Gurnee.

The JV team finished in 3rd place on Tuesday with a 471 total. Leading the way for Lake Forest was Corinne Donohue with a 113. Finishing in the top 20 to earn medals were Emily Bedford, Becca Scribner, and Sarah Anderson.

09/26/09

On Saturday, the girls traveled to Glencoe GC to play in the uniquely formatted Loyola Invitational. In this, the girls play together as a foursome, and coaches are there with them for each shot. The Scouts finished 4th with a score of 413. Paige Skinner was medalist for Lake Forest with a 10th place individual finish (93). Stacey Robberson (104), Caroline Dolan, and Bea Smith (both 108) finished the scoring. Good luck to the girls as they play in their Conference Tournament at Deerpath GC on Tuesday.

Lake Forest 196 - Vernon Hills 200

On Wednesday, the Scouts traveled to Vernon Hills to take on the Cougars. Lake Forest won by the score of 196-200. Paige Skinner led the way with a 44. Bea Smith (49), Claire Dillon (50), and Eileen Sanders (53) helped the Scouts to victory.

The JV Team was also victorious by the score of 239-249. Lexi Serbin was medalist with a 56. Kristin Tanabe and Kelly Moran both shot 60, and Kendall Perkins counted with a 63. Lake Forest plays in the Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Deerpath GC.

Lake Forest 190 - Libertyville 216

The Girls’ Golf Team took on Libertyville at Village Green GC on M July 5, 2011 10:14 AM Smith had her low round of the year and was medalist with a 44. Stacey Robberson and Caroline Dolan both shot 48’s, and Paige Skinner also counted with a 49.
Lake Forest JV - Libertyville 209
On Monday, the JV girls lost their first match of the season.  Libertyville won 209-216 despite excellent scores from Kendall Perkins and Corinne Donahue, both of who whom shot 53.  Kelly Moran (54) and Lexi Serbin (56) counted as well.

09/19/09
On Saturday, the Scouts traveled to Ingersoll GC in Rockford to play in the Guilford Invitational.  The girls posted their low 18-hole score of the year, 364, while finishing 10th in the 25 team field.  Paige Skinner shot an 86, while Caroline Dolan and Bea Smith both shot 90.  Stacey Robberson concluded the scoring with a 98.

09/16/09
On Wednesday, Lake Forest hosted Mundelein and shot its low round of the season in defeating the Mustangs 176-211.
  Personal bests were set by Paige Skinner (40) and Stacey Robberson (41).  Caroline Dolan (45) and Eileen Sanders (50) also contributed to this outstanding score.   

The JV team continued its awesome season with a 210-230 victory.  Lexi Serbin was medalist once again with a 50.  Following closely behind were Kelly Moran (52), Sarah Anderson (54), and Kristin Tamabe (54).

09/14/09
On Monday, the girls traveled to Marriott’s Crane’s Landing to take on conference rival Stevenson.  The Patriots were victorious by the score of 175-195.  Stacey Robberson shot her low round of the season with a 46.  Paige Skinner (48), Lexi Serbin (50), and Bea Smith (51) counted for the Scouts. 

The JV was unable to finish due to darkness but Kristin Tanabe and Emily Bedford were playing well when they were pulled off the course.

09/12/09
On Saturday, the Scouts took advantage of the beautiful weather to play in the 31st Annual Waukegan Invitational.  Lake Forest shot a 388 to finish in the middle of the 14-team field.  Caroline Dolan led the Scouts with a 92.  Paige Skinner (96), Bea Smith (97), and Stacey Robberson (103) rounded out the scoring.

09/10/09
On Thursday, the Girls’ Golf Team traveled to Palatine Hills GC to take on Fremd.  The varsity was defeated by the score of 189-201.  Paige Skinner continued her steady play with a 47.  After that, the scores were bunched with Bea Smith and Caroline Dolan shooting 51 and Claire Dillon and Eileen Sanders with 52’s.

The JV team stayed undefeated, defeating Fremd 213-227.  Corinne Donahue was medalist for the first time with a 52.  Lexi Serbin and Kelly Moran added 53’s, and Sarah Anderson and Kendall Perkins chipped in with 55

09/09/09

The girls took on state power New Trier and the Trevians showed they will be a force to be reckoned with in October by defeating the Scouts 159-192.  Paige Skinner was medalist for Lake Forest with a 45.  Following closely behind her were Claire Dillon (47) and Stacey Robberson (48).  Bea Smith’s 52 rounded out the scoring.

09/03/09
The Varsity Girls' Golf Team took advantage of the beautiful weather and traveled to play Luke Zurich on Thursday.  The Scouts were victorious by the score of 195-224.  Paige Skinner was medalist with a 46, followed closely by Claire Dillon (49), and Bea Smith (50), and Stacey Robberson (50).

The Junior Varsity stayed undefeated, defeating the Bears 224-263.  Lexi Serbin continued her outstanding play, leading the way with a 48.  Kelly Moran (57) and Sarah Anderson (58) stayed consistent while both Corrine Donohue and Kendall Perkins contributed with 61.

09/01/09
The Scouts traveled to Highland Park Country Club on Tuesday and were defeated by the Giants 169-193.  Paige Skinner s July 5, 2011 10:14 AM th (49), Caroline Dolan (50) and Eileen Sanders (50) rounded out the scoring. 

The JV team defeated Highland Park 217-224 behind the medalist score of 50 by Lexi Serbin.  Sarah Anderson (55), Kristin Tanabe (56) and Corrine Donahue (56) all played well and helped the Scouts to victory.

08/31/09
The Girls’ Golf Team had its first home match of the season Monday and the results were mixed.  The Varsity lost to Warren by two shots, 185-187, but defeated Antioch, who shot a 246.  Claire Dillon led the way for the Scouts with a 45.  Also counting were Paige Skinner (46), Caroline Dolan (47), and Bea Smith (49).

The Junior Varsity saw its first action of the season and started it on an impressive note.  Lexi Serbin led all players (both Varsity and JV!!) with a career-best 44 as Lake Forest beat Warren 202-233.  Kristin Tanabe (52), Kelly Moran (53), and Lindsay Ganfield (53) helped the Scouts to its victory.

08/24/09
Bea Smith (96), Claire Dillon (97) and Stacy Robberson (98) posted the top scores for Lake Forest in the team's fifth-place finish in the Lake County meet. Caroline Dolan, Paige Skinner and Eileen Sanders each carded a 103 for the Scouts, who ended up with a 394 total at Antioch Golf Club on Monday.

The Scouts traveled to beautiful White Deer Run to play in the First Annual Libertyville Tournament.  Paige Skinner was medalist with an outstanding 82 as the Scouts took second place.  Stacey Robberson, Claire Dillon, Caroline Dolan, Eileen Sanders and Lexi Serbin helped Lake Forest to its strong finish.

The Girls’ Golf Team started the season with a 9th Place finish at the prestigious Barrington Invitational at Bonnie Dundee Golf Course.  The Scouts shot a 376.  Seniors Stacey Robberson, Claire Dillon, and Eileen Sanders demonstrated great leadership abilities while sophomores Caroline Dolan and Bea Smith, along with freshman Paige Skinner, showed great promise.

The Girls' Golf Team celebrates Coach Miller's 30 years as the LFHS golf coach with a tree planting ceremony at Lake Bluff Golf Course. Several players and other community members were at the LBGC on Sunday, November 2, digging and planting in Coach Miller's honor. We are lucky to have such a dedicated and talented coach working with our children. Congratulations, Coach Miller.

10/13/08
The Girls' Golf season came to an end Monday as the Scouts failed to advance out of the IHSA Sectionals at Bonnie Brook GC.  The girls exceeded expectations and were able to take another step as they attempt to reclaim a spot as one of the premier golf programs in the area.  Congratulations and good luck to our two seniors, Cally McGowan and Megan Glynn, who have shown outstanding dedication and commitment to the program over their careers.

10/08/08
Congratulations to the Girls' Golf Team who advanced out of Wednesday's Regional at Countryside Golf Course in Mundelein.  The Scouts finished in second place with a score of 383.  It looked bleak for Lake Forest until freshman Bea Smith came in with a 96, which vaulted the Scouts past two schools and into that coveted top three spot.  Also counting were Angela Shin (92), Cally McGowan (97), and Caroline Dolan (98).  Consistency was the key as Lake Forest was only one of two schools to have all four counting scores under 100.  Next up in the State Series is Sectionals on Monday at Bonnie Brook GC in Waukegan.

On Saturday, the Scouts traveled to Bonnie Brook in Waukegan to play in a re-scheduled invitational.  Once again, weather played a role as the girls had to endure an hour and a half frost delay.  Lake Forest finished in 6th Place.  The Scouts were led by Bea Smith and Stacey Robberson.  Also counting were Genevieve Dolan and Eileen Sanders.  Next up for the Scouts is the start of the IHSA playoffs on Wednesday at Countryside in Mundelein

09/29/08

On a cold, wet Monday, the Scouts traveled to Deerpath GC to play in their Conference Tournament.  The Varsity shot a 379 to finish second in the tournament.  Adding in its dual match results, Lake Forest finished the season in 3rd place.  All-Conference players for the Scouts July 5, 2011 10:14 AM), Angela Shin (95) and Caroline Dolan (99).  The JV team shot a 458 and finished third.  Its All-Conference players were Claire Dillon, Kelly Moran, Eileen Sanders, Kendall Perkins, and Kristin Tanabe.

09/25/08
Thursday had the Scouts traveling to face Stevenson. Playing the tight and water-filled Crane's Landing proved too much for the Scouts, who lost by the score of 177-198. Angela Shin and Genevieve Dolan shot 48's, while Caroline Dolan and Bea Smith both had 51. The JV team shot a 245. Kristin Tanabe shot a 56 to lead the way. Nina Munoz, Eileen Sanders, and Katie Rogers also counted for the Scouts.

09/24/08
On Wednesday, the Scouts hosted Deerfield and Vernon Hills in a triangular match. Lake Forest recorded its lowest score of the season with a 182 but it was not enough to beat Deerfield, who shot a 172. Vernon Hills shot a 216. Consistency was the key for the Scouts as Cally McGowan and Bea Smith shot 45's, and the Dolan sisters, Genevieve and Caroline, shot 46's. The JV team shot a 223. Lexi Serbin led the way with a 5July 5, 2011 10:14 AMand Kelly Moran who shot a 59.

The JV Team traveled to Greenshire GC Tuesday to play in the Waukegan Invitational.  Their score of 190 placed them 4th.  Kristin Tanabe led the way with a 45.  Kendall Perkins and Nina Munoz shot 48's , and Emily Bedford added a 49.  Also playing for the Scouts were Tessa Torcivia and Sarah Anderson.
 
09/22/08
The Scouts played Warren at Lake Bluff Monday and played their best match of the year.  They won 174-203, and the 174 total was their low score by far.  Cally McGowan and Angela Shin led the way with identical 42's.  Bea Smith shot her best round of the season with a 44 and Stacey Robberson continued her steady play while shooting a 46.  The JV team also won by the score of 203-245.  Eileen Sanders shot a career best 46 to lead the Scouts.  Lexi Serbin and Megan Glynn shot 52's and Katie Rogers added a 53.

09/20/08
The Scouts traveled to Rockford Saturday to play in the prestigious Guilford Invitational.  Cally McGowan continued her excellent play with an 86 as Lake Forest shot a 388 to finish 14th out of 20 teams.  Also shooting counting scores were Stacey Robberson, Genevieve Dolan, and Caroline Dolan.

Another beautiful day, another golf match for the girls!!  Wednesday had the Scouts traveling to Village Green Golf Course to face Libertyville and Lake Zurich in a triangular meet. Libertyville was victorious with a 195 while the Scouts finished second with a 199; Lake Zurich shot a 214.  Cally McGowan led the Scouts once again with a 45.  Also counting for Lake Forest were Stacey Roberson, Bea Smith, and Genevieve Dolan.  The JV team also finished in the middle with a score of 227.  Eileen Sanders led the way with a 53, followed by Lexi Serbin, Kristen Tanabe, and Katie Rogers.

09/16/08
The Girls' Golf Team was back in action Tuesday after drying out from the weekend's rain.  The Scouts hosted Mundelein and lost 193-196 despite solid play by Cally McGowan (44) and Caroline Dolan (47).  Unfortunately, Lake Forest could not overcome the loss of Angela Shin who did not play because of an injury.  The Junior Varsity won 225-247.  They were led by Claire Dillon and Lexi Serbin, both of whom shot 55.

09/11/08
The Scouts traveled to Winnetka Thursday to take on state powerhouse New Trier.  Despite solid play by Cally McGowan and Angela Shin, the Scouts could not overcome the Trevians depth and lost by the score of 169-191.  The JV team was led by Kendall Perkins, Kelly Moran, and Sarah Hamilton, but lost 156-189.

09/10/08

The Girls' Golf Team hosted the Giants from Highland Park Wednesday on a sunny day.  The Scouts showed some rustiness from the long layoff by shooting a 197.  The Giants shot a solid score of 175.  Angela Kim once again led Lake Forest with a 45.  Caroline Dolan and Cally McGowan shot 48's and Bea Smith counted with a 56.   The JV team was victorious with a score of 229- 238.  Eileen Sanders and Megan Glynn shot identical 55's and Lexi Serbin came in with a 59.  Claire Dillon's 60 rounded out the scoring.  Kelly Moran and Katie Rogers also played for the Scouts.  Next up is a match Thursday at Winnetka vs New Trier.

Even though school has yet to begin, the Girls' Golf Team has been hard at work starting off a new season.  At the Barrington Invitational, the team shot a 371 with Angela Shin leading the way with an 87.  Freshman Caroline Dolan had an impressive debut with an 88, and Cally McGowan shot an 89.  Also playing, were Stacey Robberson, Bea Smith, and Claire Dillon.  Next for the Scouts was the Lake County Invitational.  The team placed 6th with a score of 394.  Angela Shin was the team's medalist once again.   New to the mix was Genevieve Dolan, who played in her first varsity match.  The team also took on Antioch and Payton Academy in a 9-hole Triangular.  Stacey Robberson led the way with a 45 as the Scouts shot a 189.  The JV team made its debut and was led with 52's by a trio of golfers: Claire Dillon, Megan Glynn, and Lexi Serbin.  Kelly Moran, Katie Rogers, and Eileen Sanders also contributed to the Scout's effort.
