Lake Forest 7 – Vernon Hills 0
The Scouts finished off their season in style as they
defeated Vernon Hills after the game had been postponed from
the previous day. LF wasted little time getting their
passing game in gear, and after a Jennie Moderwell cross was
one-timed off the crossbar by Maddy Aby, Nicola Kiela buried
the rebound to make it 1-0. The second goal came soon
after, when Nicola received a pass from Jennie and after beating
a couple of defenders she finished accurately in the bottom
corner. Lake Forest made it 3-0 early in the second half
when Maddy got a pass from Nicola then took a shot that deflected
off two defenders to elude the Couger ‘keeper.
After great pressure from the whole team,
Ali Benge was fouled in the box, and after a short debate,
Maddy stepped up to dispatch the penalty kick to make it
4-0. Katherine Sentell scored on a cannon left-footed
shot from a Sarah Repko square pass to score the fifth goal. Nicola
completed her hat-trick and her Gold Boot winning 8th goal
of the season to extend the lead to 6-0 with an assist to
Amanda Rule. The scoring was finished off by Kirstyn
Walker, who took a Katherine O’Connor pass and ripped
in a long-range effort from the right wing that ricocheted
in off the far post.
The Scout defense was excellent again today
with backs Melanie Wood, Lauren Graves, Frannie Sensenbrenner,
Kelly Murphy, Erin Hat, and Johanna Foster not putting a
foot wrong all game. GK Sarah LaFasto made 3 saves
to record her 6th shutout in 12 games.
Seniors Maddy Aby and Johanna Foster were recognized
afterwards as today marked their final game for the Scouts. Thanks
to Maddy and Johanna for all they have done for LF Soccer
the last 4 years!

05/09/11
Lake Forest 0 – Libertyville 1
The Scouts played another good game, but unfortunately fell
1-0 to a great Libertyville team.
The Wildcats started the better team and
eventually got a goal midway through the first half, when
they were first to a loose ball in the box.
The Scouts responded well and attacked the
Libertyville goal with 6 shots in the first half and 2 more
in the second. However, despite a couple of close calls,
the Scouts could not get the equalizer. The Scouts
played another great defensive game, anchored by midfielder
Katherine ‘Header’ Sentell, as well as center
back Nikki ‘Free Kikk’ Trutter and Kelly ‘Header’ Murphy.
GK Sarah LaFasto made 12 saves including a spectacular save
on a Wildcat breakaway.
The Bug award goes to Kelly
Murphy for her amazing aerial administration
of the Scout Defense!
5/4/2011
Lake Forest 2 – Warren 1
In a great game against an excellent Warren squad,
the Scouts came from behind to emerge victorious. Both
teams were skilled and wanted to keep the ball on the ground
to pass and move. In the first half, the Blue Devils
had the better of the play, and their movement from their
forwards was causing a lot of problems for the Scouts’ defense. Late
in the half, Warren got on the board when a Blue Devil made
an intelligent run and scored on a partial breakaway.
After halftime, LF upped their effort and
began to create more chances. After a couple of nifty
moves to elude defenders, Nicola Kiela’s shot was deflected
out for a corner. After timing her run to perfection,
Colleen Foster volleyed in from Jennie Moderwell’s
inch-perfect service. Soon after, Colleen Foster pestered
the Warren defense into a turnover. The ball fell to
Maddy Aby, who fired in a long-range bomb over the despairing
keeper and under the crossbar.
Despite some nervous moments for the players on the bench,
GK Sarah La Fasto was in complete control of her penalty
area for the remainder of the game to secure the victory.
Today’s BUG award for determination and perseverance
goes to Colleen Foster.
5/3/2011
Lake Forest (JV2) 1 – Warren 0
On another cold and windy afternoon LF had to battle
the elements as well as the opponent to earn a victory. The
bumpy pitch made passing difficult, but the Scouts persevered
and came away with a 1-0 win. Lake Forest outshot the
Blue Devils 12-3 along the way, but were only able to make
one count. The goal came when Sarah Repko took a throw-in
on the left wing, and after Maddy Aby made an intelligent
run to drag defenders away from the middle of the box, Ali
Benge settled the ball and drove it into the far corner. The
Scouts had another great chance later on, when Jennie Moderwell
rattled the crossbar.
Lake Forest defended so well, that Warren
had only one scoring chance when a long, wind-aided shot
needed GK Kelly Murphy to make a quick, left-handed save
to tip the ball around the post. The BUG award
for this game goes to Johanna Foster,
whose defensive diligence deflected the Devil’s danger.
5/2/2011
Lake Forest 3 – Zion-Benton 0
After a long bus ride up to Zion, the Scouts soon
got their game in gear. LF began the game in a new
formation and soon proved they could handle the change in
tactics. An overlapping run by Jenny McKiel allowed
her to cross into the penalty box, where Gabby Perino applied
the simplest of finishes to make the score 1-0. Soon
after, it was 2-0 when a Kirstyn Walker cross from the right
was volleyed home by Jennie Moderwell. After halftime,
Lake Forest made it 3-0 when Nicola Kiela battled through
3 defenders to score her team-leading 5th goal of the season. LF
attacked from every angle--outshooting the Zee-Bees 37-1,
forcing the Z-B keeper into many stunning saves.
The BUG award for the Zion game
goes to Jenny McKiel, whose ongoing
overlapping was outstanding in the onslaught.
4/29/11
Lake Forest 0 – New Trier 3
The Scouts battled valiantly against an excellent Trevian
squad but the game eventually ended in NT’s favor.
LF played well in the opening minutes and forced a couple
of corners that resulted in scrambles in the New Trier box. The
Trevians took the lead when a long wind-aided shot
eluded Sarah La Fasto in the Scouts’ goal. A
similar shot later on rebounded off the crossbar, and a NT
forward was first to the ball to poke the loose ball to make
it 2-0. In the second half New Trier held the edge
in possession and scored a third goal to secure the victory.
Despite what looks like a lopsided score
line, the Scouts played one of their most intense efforts
of the season. Continued performances like the one
against New Trier will bring more favorable results.
4/26/11
Lake Forest (JV2) 3 – Stevenson 0

Despite the wet weather, the Scouts came out on
top in Tuesday afternoon’s mud bowl. Just as
the game kicked off, a torrential rain shower hit that meant
gumball-sized raindrops were pelting the players sideways! Once
LF got used to the conditions, they really put on a show
of passion and precision that the Patriots could not combat. The
defense--led by Erin Hart and Katherine Sentell--were flawless,
not allowing SHS a shot on GK Kelly Murphy’s goal all
game. After numerous opportunities to score, the Scouts
took the lead when Maddy Aby received a throw-in from Sarah
Repko and drove to the top of the box before unleashing an
unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.
The second half saw the Scouts continue
to dominate, with outside backs Jenny McKiel, Johanna Foster,
Lauren Graves & Frannie Sensenbrenner continuing their
attacking raids deep into Stevenson territory. This
persistence paid off when Jenny ripped a long shot in at
the near post. The third goal soon paid off when
Erin, who had been moved into midfield, took a great shot
that the keeper couldn’t handle, and Amanda Rule
was on hand to poke in the rebound.
Tuesday evening’s muddy bug award
goes to Erin Hart for her dominant defending
and deliberate distribution!!!
4/25/11
Lake Forest 0 – Loyola Academy 1
In another close encounter, the Ramblers escaped
with a 1-0 victory. The Scouts took a little while
to start up on a chilly Monday afternoon, but soon they
were playing with an intensity that matched last Thursday’s
game. LF played well in the first half forcing the
LA keeper to make 5 saves to keep the score level.
In the second half, the Scouts went close when a Jennie
Moderwell free kick curled just outside the far post. Another
chance saw Colleen Foster and Nicola Kiela in a mad scramble
around the penalty box. Unfortunately, Loyola took
the lead with their only shot on target in the 2nd half
on a counter attack. Despite some late pressure,
Lake Forest was not able to equalize.
4/21/11
Lake Forest 0 – Lake Zurich 0
In a rough and tumble game, the Scouts and the Bears
battled to an even 0-0 tie. The Scouts, despite missing
3 players from the previous starting line-up, did not miss
a beat as they passed and moved through their attacks. LZ
played with a lot of pace and physicality, but the Scouts
responded with their best effort to date.
Goalkeeper Sarah La Fasto made 13 tip-top
saves, including a brave dive at the feet of an attacker
on a breakaway. There were a number of close calls
at both ends, but neither team deserved to lose the encounter. Lake
Forest’s record improved to 3 W – 2 L – 1
T, with 4 shutouts.
4/18/11
Lake Forest 2 – Evanston 0
The Scouts got back on the winning track with a battling
performance over host Evanston. The Wildkits were a
tough opponent with some physical, athletic players--especially
their central defenders, who were difficult to break down.
LF had the early pressure and forced some
good saves from the home goalkeeper. Lake Forest got
on the board early when a Kirstyn Walker corner was only
partially cleared by ETHS, which allowed Nicola Kiela, perfectly
placed in the “D”, to volley in her 4th goal
off the underside of the crossbar!
The Scouts defenders were in a parsimonious
mood by restricting Evanston to only 3 shots, of which, goalkeeper
Sarah La Fasto made 2 quality saves. The second half
saw LF continue to possess the ball and extend the lead early
in the proceedings, when fine forward interplay saw Gabby
Perino play Jennie Moderwell in on a breakaway. An
Evanston defender inadvertently clipped Jennie’s heal
on the very edge of the box. Jennie stood up, dusted
herself off, wiped away stray turf blades, and scored a sumptuous
free kick with her left foot--curling it around the wall
for her 3rd goal.
The ‘Bug’ award for the
Evanston game was awarded to defender Jenny McKiel, whose
aerial advantage was agonizingly annoying to the Wildkit
attack.
4/14/11
Lake Forest 1 – Stevenson 2
The Scouts came out on the wrong end of 2-1 game at the windy VHAC. LF
had the better of the play in the first half, creating quite a few great chances. The
Scouts eventually got on the board when Jennie Moderwell sent in a perfect
corner, and Avery Smith charged into the box to score with a bullet like header! The
game continued to be an even matchup in the second half. Stevenson equalized
in unfortunate circumstances when a long, speculative shot deflected off a
Scouts defender, putting a bizarre spin on the ball which was just enough to
elude Sarah La Fasto in the Scouts net. The Patriots scored the winner
when a cross from the left wing was finished at the back post.
Despite the loss the Scouts’ effort was outstanding,
including the persistence of ‘BUG’ winner,
defender, Frannie Sensenbrenner.
4/12/11
Lake Forest 0 – Mundelein 1
The Scouts suffered their first loss of the season
when they lost 1-0 to the Mustangs. LF played well,
but Mundelein’s team speed posed problems all game
long. The lone goal of the match came midway through
the first half. A long Mustang clearance squirted
through the Scouts’ defense and created a breakaway
opportunity. GK Sarah La Fasto made a brave save
on the first attempt, but unfortunately the ball bounced
kindly for the Mustang, and she scored on the rebound.
The Scouts created quite a few chances in the 2nd half,
but the impressive Mundelein ‘keeper shut the door
including a penalty kick save.
The ‘Bug’ award was bestowed on Nikki
Trutter, whose tough tackling was a thorn in Mundelein
sides all game!
4/7/11
Lake Forest 6 – Antioch 0
Lake Forest did not show any effects of the long
bus trip to post an impressive road victory. From
the opening kickoff, the Scouts had the Sequoits on the
back foot and were able to get on the scoreboard early
when Kirstyn Walker setup Paige Douglass for her first
goal of the season. It was not long before LF doubled
its lead when Jennie Moderwell scored after an assist by
Avery Smith. Later in the half, Nicola Kiela was
fouled in the box, and Jennie Moderwell stepped up to bury
the penalty kick to make it 3-0.
In the second half, the Scouts continued
to dominate possession and it was not long before Paige
got her second goal when she was one-touched in a cross
from Jennie. Nicola got the 5th and her 3rd of the
season from Paige’s assist. The scoring was
finally finished off when Lindsay Briggs was on hand at
the back post to score from another Sarah Repko cross.
The LF defense was solid all afternoon,
with midfielders including Katherines O’Connor and
Sentell dominating, allowing outside backs Melanie Wood,
Colleen Foster, Lauren Graves, and Frannie Sensenbrenner
to overlap and get involved in the attack. Sarah
La Fasto was perfect when called upon to record her second
shutout in succession.
Today’s ‘Bug’ goes to Lauren
Graves, whose overlapping runs from the back were particularly
pesky to the Sequoits!
4/5/11
Lake Forest 2 – Niles North 0
The Scouts are up and running in their
2011 season--getting off to a fine start with a 2-0 shutout
over the host Vikings. The defense was poised the
whole game, led by center backs Kelly Murphy and Nikki
Trutter. Lake Forest used their patient, possession
system to work the ball around throughout the game. Avery
Smith and Katherine O’Connor controlled the all-important
midfield area, allowing the wingers and full backs to
contribute to an attack that fired 10 shots on target.
The Scouts' forwards worked tirelessly up front to create
chances, and after a neat combination of passes between
Paige Douglass and Kirstyn Walker, Nicola Kiela scored
the first goal of the season with a neat, left-footed
finish.
The second half continued in the same vein, and after pressure
from a corner kick, Nicola scored her second of the game
with a precise shot just inside the right post. Despite
the presence of some speedy Niles North forwards, Goalkeeper
Sarah La Fasto helped marshal the defense the rest of the
way to preserve the shutout.
This year the JV will award the ‘Bug’ Award after
each game to the player whose determination, perseverance,
and physical effort proved to be the most annoying to the
opponent. Today’s winner is Gabby Perino!

Lake Forest 0 – Libertyville 0
The Scouts and Wildcats got together in their annual close encounter. Libertyville
had the edge in possession and chances, but Lake Forest defended well and created
a few chances of their own. Despite a couple of close calls at the end,
neither team was able to get the winning goal. LF goalkeeper Lauren Grenier
made a handful of outstanding saves to keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard
for the teams 6th shutout of the season. The Scouts finish their tough
NSC Lake Division schedule with a great record of 4 wins and 2 ties, scoring
17 times while only conceding 1 goal!
05/06/10
Lake Forest 1 – Warren 0
In a rough and tumble game up in Gurnee, the Scouts
did just enough to hold off the Blue Devils. Despite
another gale-force wind blowing across the pitch, Lake Forest
moved the ball very well in an even first half, and after
a prolonged goal-mouth scramble, Nicola Kiela poked home
her team-leading 7th goal of the season from a Maddy Aby
assist. As Warren pushed forward for the equalizer,
their pace caused a few nervous moments for the Scouts; however,
the defense--led by backs Kelly Murphy & Emily Bradford
and goalkeeper Lauren Grenier--preserved the team's 5th shutout
of the season.
05/05/10
Lake Forest (JV2) 0 – Lake Zurich (JV2)
2
In another game when both teams had to battle the
wind as well as each other, the JV2 Scouts were defeated
by a strong Bears squad. A goal in each half saw Lake
Zurich earn the victory.
05/04/10
Lake Forest 2 – Highland Park 2
In a game of contrasting styles, the ball-possession
Scouts (5-3-2) and the counter-attacking Giants played out
an exciting 2-2 tie. Lake Forest had the bulk of the
play--creating a great early goal by Nicola Kiela (6 goals)
assisted by Paige Douglass. Highland Park continued
to create problems for the Scouts with their direct play
and equalized just before halftime. Another quick strike
gave the Giants the lead midway through the second half. As
they have all season, Lake Forest would battle until the
bitter end and the perseverance paid off. Melanie Wood played
a direct through ball that Nicola flicked on to Paige (5
goals), who finished under pressure in the far corner.
05/01/10
Lake Forest 0 – New Trier 3
Again the Scouts played a great game against the
best team they had seen so far this season. New Trier
took the lead with two quick goals at the end of the first
half and then added a third early in the second. Lake
Forest battled all the way until the final whistle, but couldn’t
crack a strong Trevian defense. It was a great effort
considering it was the 6th game in 6 days!
04/30/10
Lake Forest 0 – Palatine 1
In a very tight game between the Pirates and the
Scouts, one play made the difference--when a Pirate forward
scored on a header from a free kick. The Scouts played
extremely well, but were unable to get a result. Goalkeeper Lauren
Grenier made 11 saves for the Scouts.
04/29/10
Lake Forest (JV2) 3 – New Trier (JV2) 0
The JV2 played their best game of the season by
defeating an excellent Trevian squad. Despite having
to play against the wind in the first half, the Scouts were
able to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The first goal
came when great pressure from Paige Douglass forced
a turnover, which she cross-shot, and Maddy Aby was
there to poke in the rebound. The second goal came
when Colleen Foster also received a pass
from Paige Douglass and flighted the ball
over the New Trier keeper. The Scouts wrapped up
the victory late in the seond half when Colleen Foster sent
a gorgeous curling shot into the far post.

Lake Forest 12 vs. Zion-Benton 0 -- SENIOR RECOGNITION

The Scouts played some great soccer to send the
Class of 2010 off in style. Goal scorers in last night’s
game were Paige Douglass, Sarah LaFasto, Nicola Kiela,
Jennie Moderwell, Johanna Foster, Maddy
Aby, and seniors Anne Glazer and Adele
Watel. Senior Lauren Grenier recorded
the shutout in goal. We also recognized senior Rachel
Kreb, who unfortunately was not able to play in
the game due to injury. Thanks to the parents and grandparents
who were in attendance last night.
Special thanks to team moms Denise O’Connor and Gina
Repko for coordinating the event.
04/28/10
Lake Forest (JV2) 3 – Stevenson (JV2) 1
The JV2 squad got back to winning ways with an excellent
display against the Patriots. Lake Forest started well
with numerous chances and finally got on the board when our
new superstar striker, Lauren Grenier, received
a pass from Caitlin Hough and then scored
a great goal--shooting high over the keeper's outstretched
arms. The game was more even after halftime, but the
Scouts were able to extend the lead when Jennie Moderwell sent
an excellent cross in from the left wing, and Anne
Glazer timed her back-post run to perfection and
finished expertly to make the score 2-0. Stevenson
were able to get a goal back with a nice shot, but the Scouts
defense, led by Erin Hart, Jenny McKiel, Johanna
Foster, and Annika Heilman, performed
well in front of goalkeeper Adele Watel. The
Scouts played two goalkeepers at forward to finish the game,
and after sustaining some late Patriot pressure, Lauren
Grenier broke away on the left to set up Sarah
LaFasto to finish the scoring.
Next up are the visiting Zion-Benton Zee-Bees on
Wednesday, April 28, when we will honor our four seniors,
Anne Glazer, Lauren Grenier, Rachel Kreb, and Adele Watel.
04/26/10
Lake Forest 0 – Loyola Academy 1
Another windy day greeted the Scouts, and both teams
struggled to adjust to the blustery conditions. Playing
downhill in the first half, Loyola scored a wind-aided goal
on their first shot, and that would prove to be difference. Despite
the early setback, Lake Forest defended well, but they just
weren’t able to get their passing game in gear. The
Ramblers were able to limit Lake Forest’s goal-scoring
opportunities to a minimum.

Lake Forest 1 – Niles North 0
The Scouts (4-0-1) battled to beat the Vikings at
LFHS West Campus. Lake Forest piled on the pressure--peppering
the Niles North goal with 25 shot attempts! The outstanding
Viking keeper made 15 saves to frustrate the Scouts all afternoon
until Sarah Repko played in Nicola
Kiela to fire an inch-perfect shot in off the far
post. The goal was Nicola’s team-leading 3rd
of the season. Lauren Grenier (2 saves)
and Adele Watel (3 saves) split the duties
in goal to lead the Scouts’ defense for its 2nd consecutive
shutout.
04/21/10
Lake Forest 0 – Lake Zurich 0
The Scouts (3-0-1) played some of their best soccer
of the season so far to battle to 0-0 tie with Lake Zurich. Lake
Forest edged possession and outshot the Bears, but couldn’t
get the goal their build-up play deserved. The defense
of Melanie Wood, Katherine Sentell, Kelly Murphy, and Emily
Bradford dominated the game, getting involved in
numerous attacks and aiding goalkeeper Sarah LaFasto garner
the Scouts 2nd shutout of the season.
04/20/10
Lake Forest (JV 2) 0 – Glenbrook
South 1
The JV2 Scouts (1-1-0) battled hard against a skilled,
physical Titan team. On a windy day and a hard pitch,
one first-half goal was enough for GBS to earn the victory. The
next JV2 game will be Tuesday, April 27,
at home vs. Stevenson.
04/17/10
Lake Forest 5 – Lakes 1
The Scouts (3-0-0) came out of the blocks very quickly
and took the lead in the first minute on a goal by Paige
Douglass, assisted by Caitlin Hough. Lake
Forest extended its lead in the 8th minute when Maddy
Aby converted a Colleen Foster cross. Two
minutes later, Avery Smith unselfishly fed Kirstyn
Walker, who scored from the top of the box. Annika
Heilman passed to Nicola Kiela to
score the first of her two goals in the twentieth minute. The
second came two minutes later as Nicola twisted and turned
in the box before beating the Eagles’ keeper
04/15/10
Lake Forest 2 – Stevenson 1
In a game more dominated by the wind than either
team, the Scouts (2-0-0) came out on top. After withstanding
early Patriot pressure, Lake Forest scored in their first
attack, when a fantastic cross from the right wing by Avery
Smith was headed in by Paige Douglass. Stevenson
responded with a goal early in the second half, but with
virtually the last attack of the game, a Kirstyn
Walker free kick was ran into the goal by Colleen
Foster. Great play again from Scout goalkeepers Sarah
LaFasto (5 saves) and Lauren Grenier (2
saves).
04/14/10
Lake Forest 2 – Mundelein 0
The Mustangs put a lot of pressure on the Scouts to begin the game,
but as the first half wore on, Lake Forest (1-0-0) began to get its passing
game in order. In the thirty-second minute, Maddy Aby was
able to work the ball to the left corner of the box for Colleen Foster to
put a high shot over the Mundelein goalkeeper and into the net. Only
two minutes later, after EXCELLENT build-up play involving many players, Caitlin
Hough ripped a shot high into the roof of the net for the second goal. The
Scouts had to withstand a spirited second half from the Mustangs, including
a shot off the crossbar, but 8 saves from goalkeeper Lauren Grenier were
enough to secure the shutout and the victory.
04/09/10
Lake Forest (JV2) 5 – Stevenson (JV2) 1
After conceding an early goal, the Scouts clicked
into gear and got on the board with a goal from Colleen
Foster assisted by Kirstyn Walker. Before
halftime, Avery Smith surged through the
middle and neatly finished in the bottom right corner.
In the second half, Lake Forest continued
to pressure the Patriots and took control of the game with
a goal into the low far corner from Kirstyn Walker after
a pass from Katherine O’Connor. Paige
Douglass scored the fourth goal, assisted by Maddy
Aby. The final tally came when Anne
Glazer made a great run up the right wing and her
shot took a deflection on the way in.
05/13/09
Lake Forest 3 - Vernon Hills 0
The Scouts played their final home game of the 2009 season
and defeated the Cougars 3-0. After a sluggish start,
Lake Forest picked up the pace and took the lead before half-time. After
Cailee Filkin was fouled in the box, Sheila Murphy placed
a perfect penalty in the bottom right corner. In the
second half, the Scouts got their passing game in gear and
scored two fine goals. Cailee Filkin scored after an
excellent Anne Glazer cross. The third goal was scored
after some great build-up play got the ball to Molly Steffens
on the right wing. Her cross was tipped through by Lauren
Sandman to Adele Watel, who slotted it home.
05/11/09
Lake Forest 8 - Zion-Benton 0
The hard efforts and experience from the close games the
previous week paid off, as the Scouts played some great soccer
to beat Zion-Benton. Eight different girls scored for
Lake Forest, and Sheila Murphy provided 2 assists. The
final four goals were scored by seniors Tara Nair, Molly
Steffens, Sarah Guy, and Molly McKiel!
05/09/09
Lake Forest 0 - New Trier 1
On "Kickin' it for Cancer" Day, the Scouts
produced their best performance of the season, but unfortunately
fell short at the end. Sarah Guy, Molly McKiel, Tara
Nair, and Molly Steffens and their parents were honored on
Senior Day for their contribution to the Lake Forest Girls'
Soccer Program for the last four years.
05/08/09
Lake Forest 1 - Lake Zurich 1
Lake Forest got its best result against
the Bears in years after coming back to tie Lake Zurich
1-1. The equalizing goal was scored by Sheila
Murphy after a steal and pass from Molly McKiel. Cailee
Filkin made some great saves in the net for the Scouts.
05/07/09 (JV 2)
Lake Forest 0 - Lake Zurich 0
After a long trip out to Lake Zurich
the Scouts quickly fired-up and hit the field
running. However, in this match the Scouts
came under a heavy barrage of shots from the

saves to earn the shutout in the 0-0 tie.
05/04/09
Lake Forest 0 - Highland Park 0
The Scouts through everything but the
kitchen sink at the Giants, but could not breakthrough. Despite
out-shooting Highland Park 13-2, the game finished
0-0.
05/2/09
Lake Forest 1 - Palatine 2
The Scouts came out firing on all cylinders
in the first half and had 5 shots on goal in

In a great game between two very even

out for the Scouts was defender Bridget

Lake Forest 4 - Niles North 0
Another great display of teamwork and passing from the Scouts
as two goals in each half saw the team cruise to victory. Bridget
Hegg scored her first of the season, with a picture-perfect
penalty kick into the top-left corner. The second goal
came from Anne Glazer from a through ball from Emily Bradford. After
halftime, Maddy Aby made it three goals, after Katie Murphy's
pass was dummied by both Sheila Murphy and Lily Chang. The
scoring was wrapped up by Katie Murphy latching on to a perfect
channel pass from Faith Bassiouny. The shutout was
recorded by Cailee Filkin, who went the distance between
the sticks. The win puts the teams record at 2 wins
and 1 loss.
