The Scouts had to bring their "A" game
in order to beat the rival Deerfield Team! The Scouts
played tough from court 1 through court 10. What awesome
depth the Scouts have. Way to go Scouts!

Katie was able to beautifully blend depth, power, and
precision to defeat her opponent today! She was patient
and set up the points very well. This captain was in
totall control from start to finish. Way to go, Katie!

The Scouts were relentless....dropping only 3 total
games in singles competition. Game ball awarded to Erin
Hart. Erinn played an amazing singles match! The team
always relies on Erin for her quick hands and great court
position in doubles. This was the first time in over
a year that Erin played singles and play she did. She
was consistent and very much in control the entire match.
Way to go Erin! The Scouts are on FUEGO!!

were powerful and low to the net---perfectly

precise. Nice job, Victoria! Haley Killam. Haley fought through
a tough 3-set match and was victorious! She never
gave up and kept fighting. Haley mixed up her shots
and frustrated her opponent with her steady shots.
Way to go, Haley!
The Scouts are on a roll....gaining momentum
one match at a time. The Scouts are moving, playing smart,
consistent tennis.

and Natalie Pollard. Haley and Natalie were down 4-5,
and we had a little chat. A new game plan was explained
and both players carried out the plan to a "T." They
exposed the back court and began moving into all ground
strokes. Both Haley and Natalie were clutch--way to go

09/25/10 Lake Forest Cookout
Tournament--Lyons, Hinsdale South, Barrington Lake Forest Wins
Tournament 21-0
It was an amazing day for the Scouts'
tennis team. The cookoutwas a huge success thanks to Jan
and Sandra and all the parents who took the time to make
this day so special for the girls. That's what it's all
about....and boy was it special! The Scouts set a cookout
record by not losing a match the entire day! The team was
21-0 for the day--a stat that is testament to the team's
depth and unbelievable talent! The day was filled with
amazing tennis, lots of giggles, great food and good friends.
We have much to be thankful for.
Team ball awarded to Maddie Lipp. Maddie fought through
a very tough match against a great opponent. She never gave
up and kept working her opponents weaknesses. Maddie's hard
work during conditioning practices paid off. She was able
to run down tough angles for 3 straight sets without getting
too fatigued. Maddie stuck with the game plan and executed
it perfectly. Way to go Maddie--fantastic win for you and
the team!
The Scouts played a solid
match. Losing only one game, the Scouts plowed through their
opponents with ease! They kept their feet moving in the windy
weather and stayed focused. Way to go Scouts!

Elizabeth was so poised and calculated out on the tennis
court today. She was placing the ball perfectly and mixing
up the pace to throw off her opponents. Her serve was
monstrous and she was a threat at the net. Nice job,

few errors. She covered the court with ease and stayed
on the offensive! Maddie dominated her match from start

the Scouts were dominating their opponents. Megan Morris was
in total control of her match against Mondry from Whitney Young.
Haleigh McPeek/Catherine Orfanos were on a role--moving well
together and covering the court efficiently.

Megan played a flawless, intelligent match. She consistently
set up her crushing forehand drive and mixed up the pace
nicely. Megan has improved a great deal since last year
and has emerged as a real leader on the team. Way to
go Megan.....you rocked it today! Keep up the great work

conditions were not ideal, but the Scouts prevailed.

Carolyn's game has been gaining momentum the last 3 matches
she has played. She is more aggressive at the net and
moves through transition shots with confidence. This
senior is finishing strong!! Way to go Carolyn!!
It was a beautiful, Scout
blue-sky day for a tennis match. The Scouts showed no mercy
on the Mustangs! Mundelein was no match for the mighty Scouts
as they blasted their way to 7 straight victories! Play worth
noting:
Seniors Katie Zordani and Faith Bassiouny
were just plain scary in doubles--dangerous at the baseline
and the net. The two were unstoppable.
Senior Carolyn Orfanos took control of
the middle and was looking to make a move on the ball. Poaching
was great!

She kept her focus the entire match--winning 0, 0. Paige
made some adjustments in the beginning of the match, which
made all the difference. She kept a cool head and covered
the court with ease. Way to go Paige---great singles match!

Great job Scouts! It was all blue and gold in the final round
at Lakes High School. The Scouts dominated every school they
