Head, Girls' Varsity Volleyball
Coach Zickert has been coaching girls' volleyball
at LF since 2005 and had coached at Lake Forest 11 years
prior to that. He began coaching volleyball in 1992. Paul has
coached club volleyball for numerous clubs across the country,
acting as Director for 3 years.For six years, he also coached Division
1 Women's Volleyball at the University of Nevada-Reno, Loyola-Chicago
and Kent State. In addition, he has been a part of numerous camps
at the University of Michigan, Michigan State, and Wisconsin. In
1996, Paul had the opportunity to work with the Men's and Women's
Olympic teams as an apprentice coach before the 1996 summer games
in Atlanta. Prior to his college coaching, Paul coached for 2 years
at North Tahoe HS where he brought both teams downstate and placed
4th and 5th in the Nevada state tournament. Paul received his
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of
Nevada-Reno.

Allison Fink

Assistant, Girls' Varsity Volleyball
2008 marks Coach Fink's first year as Assistant Girls' Varsity coach at
LF. She has been involved with LFHS's boys' program since 2007. Coach Fink has
been coaching volleyball at a variety of levels since 2000. Allison received
her BS in Physical Education from the Univ. of Iowa and her teaching certification
in Physical Education and Health from Northeastern Illinois University. Currently,
Allison teaches Life Skills at Lake Bluff Middle School.
Todd Battaglia

Head, Girls' Sophomore Volleyball
2007 marks Coach Battaglia's first year as Head of Girls' Sophomore
Volleyball at LFHS. Todd played volleyball at Hersey High School
and has been involved with USAV Volleyball for over ten years. He
has held assistant basketball coaching positions in Lake Bluff and
Arlington Heights. This is his first attempt at taking his most beloved
sport and translating his volleyball knowledge through coaching.
Todd teaches language arts at Lake Bluff Middle School.
Ray Werner

Head, Girls' Freshmen Volleyball
Coach Werner began coaching volleyball at LF in 1998. His coaching
experience includes 7 years of Division I and II college baseball,
as well as high school, legion and travel baseball. Ray has coached
high school and travel basketball for 6 years and all levels of
boys' and girls' volleyball for 10 years. He received his Bachelor's
degree from Penn State and a Master's from Roosevelt University.
Ray is a teacher in the Wellness Department at LFHS.
Joe DeRosa

Assistant, Girls' Freshmen Volleyball
Coach DeRosa has been an Assistant Girls' Freshmen coach at LF
since 2006. Prior to coaching volleyball at Lake Forest, he coached basketball
and baseball at Northtown Academy and Gordon Tech High School in
Chicago. Joe received his Bachelor's degree in History/Social Sciences
from Benedictine University and his MSE from Barat College. Joe is
a teacher in the Social Studies Department at LFHS.
