its third consecutive tournament championship on Saturday, defeating
Glenbrook South in the finals of the Cougar Classic at Vernon Hills
H.S. The victory was vindication for the Scouts, as they had
previously lost to GBS earlier in the season.

The Sophomore Scouts VB team brought home the
championship trophy from the Fremd Invitational Tournament this weekend. They
defeated a tough Cary Grove squad 25-22 (after trailing 2-10 to start
that game), 26-28, 16-14. In the final set, the Scouts had
to face 3 match points, trailing 11-14 before going on a 5-point
run to end the match and win the tournament. Other scores included
the Scouts defeating:
Mundelein 25-9, 25-5
Fremd 25-18, 27-25
Glenbard South 25-13, 25-11
The Sophomore Scouts now move their record to 8-5, having won 8 of
their last 9 matches.
