2008 Driver Education Summer Driver Education is a highly condensed program. This course demands daily driving practice outside of class. If you are unable to meet this requirement, please reconsider enrollment. Students must be age 15 on or before June 11, 2008 and must have accumulated 4 credits in the prior 2 semesters. Permit applications will not be issued until 2 weeks before the start of class. Classroom will meet 4 days per week (Monday—Thursday) for 1 1/4 hours per day and Behind the Wheel (BTW) will meet every 3rd day for 1 1/2 hours. Any student who misses more than three classroom sessions or more than one BTW session will be withdrawn as State of Illinois requirements will not be met. Please be advised that according to a recently amended Illinois state law (HB0418) students are not eligible unless they have “received a passing grade in at least 8 courses during the previous 2 semesters.
