Communications Department

The Communications Department was created in the fall of 2004 with a goal of providing timely and accurate information to parents of students attending Lake Forest High School and to the community, in general. When information is submitted to Communications
(e-mail jmuraws@d115.org or awhippl@d115.org), it will appear in parent newsletters, it will be submitted to the Lake Forester either as a feature article or under “School Digest,” and it will be posted on the Lake Forest High School website, lfhs.org. Pictures are also welcome!

Photographs and videos of students and staff are taken throughout the year to be used for newsletters, newspapers and other District 115 publicity purposes. We film various events for local viewing on LF Cable TV. The videotapes and photographs shall not be used by the School District for commercial purposes or for monetary gain. If you do not want your child photographed for District 115 use, you must submit, in writing, a statement to the Superintendent of Schools.

The first full day of school for all LFHS students is September 8, 2008

The first edition of “HIGHLIGHTS” for the 2008-2009 school year was sent to all LFHS families in early August. The publication is full of beginning of the year information. This newsletter is a monthly publication that arrives at the beginning of every month to keep parents and students informed. For a complete listing of all current and past HIGHLIGHTS click here.
