Freshman Orientation is a unique opportunity for the Class of 2015 to get to know their high school without the crowds. During the morning session you won’t need anything, so please leave all personal belongings in your locker including purses, cell phones and other devices. You’ll be attending shortened classes later in the day, so you’ll need your class schedule, a pencil and some paper for note taking. Here’s a brief look at what you’ll experience on that day.

• Please dress comfortably! You should arrive by 7:50 a.m. and meet in the Lower Commons near the Competition Gym. Please remember to leave personal belongs in your locker.

• You’ll break into large and small groups for a variety of activities with student mentors.

• At 11:00 a.m., you will begin to follow your individual class schedule beginning with
Period 1. The plan for the day is to follow a shortened schedule with each period lasting
only 10 minutes. You’ll meet your teachers and receive a brief overview of your class.

• Your day will be over at 12:55 p.m. Buses will arrive at 1:15 p..m. for students who have signed up for bus service.

• The regular school year, will begin for all students at 7:50 a.m. and end at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, August 22.
