District 67 and District 115 Mandarin Chinese Committee

May 2008 HIGHLIGHTS

Attention Parents…

District 67 and District 115 are partnering to form a Mandarin Chinese Committee. Come join us to assist with our new Chinese initiative. This new committee will be brainstorming ideas to help make our new teachers from China feel welcome, and to assist with their transition to living in Lake Forest. We are seeking volunteers with creative ideas, and for those who are willing to assist in making Jessica and Jun become part of our 67 and 115 family. We will be discussing ways we can connect with neighboring communities, ways to set up cultural experiences for Jessica and Jun, ideas to welcome them, connections we can make with other Chinese groups, and methods for sharing curricular ideas. Please don’t miss this opportunity to join us for this exciting initiative. It will be much richer with your ideas and support. The committee will meet on the following dates:

Thursday, May 22
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Beecher Room, District 67
Administration Center,
67 W. Deerpath in Lake Forest.
