Student Member of the Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Board for 2010-11 is Announced!

Congratulations to student, Carson Goldman (Class of 2011) for receiving a mayoral appointment to serve as the Student Member of the Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Board. The appointment is part of the City of Lake Forest's "Youth in Government" program, which provides high school seniors with a unique volunteer opportunity to serve their community while learning more about local government. Carson's appointment became effective June 2010 and will run through May 2011. The Parks and Recreation Board meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. All meetings are televised on Channel 17 and the public is welcome to attend.
