Veterans Day Essay Contest, September 19, 2011

Students can win $1000 for their favorite LFHS club or team!
 
Lake Forest American Legion Post 264 has announced their annual essay contest for Lake Forest High School students in honor of the Veterans Day observance on November 11.  Interested students who would like to participate should submit an essay entitled: “What Veterans Day Means to Me.. The style and length of essay is left up to the student. The winning essay, chosen by the Post members, receives $1000 to donate to the LFHS club or team of their choice and is asked to read their essay at the Veteran’s Day Remembrance. The second place winner receives $500 to donate and the 3rd place winner can donate $250 to a club or team.  Essay entries are due to the Student Volunteer Service office, room 103C, by Friday, October 28.
