Club Advisor: Marni Levinson Female students concentrate on women’s issues and causes and participate in ways to better the lives of women. Past activities include car washes, ornament sales, Habitat for Humanity, visits to hospitals and senior housing, and baking for women’s shelters. Students meet before school at 7:10 on Wednesdays. Requirements: Students attend meetings, be available for service on some weekends, and have a positive commitment to making women’s lives better. April 2008 HIGHLIGHTS Women’s Club to sponsor Glass Slipper ProjectThe Women’s Club is sponsoring the Glass Slipper Project which collects prom dresses and accessories for young women in the Chicago public school system. March 2008 HIGHLIGHTS The Women’s Club is raising needed money for the LFHS Habitat for Humanity house. The club members are offering a variety of different services such as gardening help, house cleaning, sports coaching, tutoring, and more. Many of the girls can provide their own transportation to your home. Cash donations for Habitat are expected in lieu of payment.
