
Dear Parent or Guardian,
PowerSchool is Lake Forest High School's new student information system.
It is a web-based service, which allows accessibility anywhere, anytime
via a web browser using any Internet connection. Parents and students
can l and get up-to-date access to grades
and attendance information which makes it easy for students and parents
to stay in closer contact on student progress.
The information you need to begin accessing your PowerSchool account
was sent via U.S Mail during the week of February 18, 2008.
Your student will receive their logon information via their D115 e-mail
account.
Edline will continue to be a valuable academic tool for class assignments,
files, etc. However, grade and attendance information will only be
available in the
PowerSchool is LFHS’s new
student information system. It is a web-based service, which allows
accessibility anywhere, anytime via your web browser using your
current Internet connection. Students and parents can log on to a
secure server and get up-to-date access to grades and attendance
information making it easy for students and parents to stay in closer
contact on student progress. PowerSchool will come online second
semester.
A: The portal will open around February 15. Between the end of first
semester and the opening of the PowerSchool Portal, students and parents
will not have access to grades through either Edline or PowerSchool.
A: You will receive a letter in the beginning of February that will contain
your PowerSchool login, password, and other login information. Students
will receive their own unique login and password via their LFHS e-mail
account. The PowerSchool system requires that logins and passwords be
assigned by
Lake Forest High School.
A: Currently these two systems have separate login functions that require
different passwords.
A: Yes. Edline will continue to be a valuable academic tool, for class
assignments, files, etc. However, grade and attendance information will
only be available in the PowerSchool Portal.
