Wednesday, October 17, 2007 – is a regular day
of attendance for freshmen, sophomores and juniors. During this morning,
all sophomores and juniors will be taking the PLAN and
PSAT/NMSQT tests respectively.
Freshmen will participate in a Freshmen
Orientation II morning of activities. Buses will run their normal schedules. All morning activities will begin promptly
at 7:50 am.
The PLAN exam is a practice ACT
test that provides achievement scores and assessments of study skills
and career information. Room assignments for this testing will be posted
in the main front hallway prior to
and on the
test day. All sophomore students are expected to take this exam on Wednesday,
October 17, 2007 at 7:50 am.
The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) will be administered
to all juniors on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 7:50 am. Room
assignments for this testing will be posted in the
main front hallway prior to and on the testing
day. Juniors take this exam as a practice for the SAT test and it is
used as criteria for selecting National Merit Semifinalists.
Orientation II Activities
The Student Services Department will offer freshmen a variety of
activities and educational sessions during the morning’s
testing.
Seniors are excused from morning activities. Seniors will be expected
to report to school on time this day (11:30 am). Early Bird PE classes
will not meet on this day. EB Science classes will meet first period
only.
